The Joplin City Council will hold a special City Council meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, August 10 in Council Chambers at City Hall at 602 S. Main Street. New business will include a Budget Work Session presentation to present the City Manager's Proposed Fiscal 2027 Budget message. The session will also include a transit presentation on the Joplin Sunshine Lamp Trolley system. Long-term goals would include a route to Webb City and more Saturday service. The meeting will also include a vote to go into a closed session.
