For generations of students, Mr. Jonas Crenshaw was more than a history teacher. And for more than 37 years at Meridian High School, that’s exactly what he did. In 1963, he graduated from McCall High School, where he was a contributing member of the famed McCall High School Dragons basketball team. He began teaching at the segregated TJ Harris High School but would eventually become a mainstay at Meridian High School following integration.
