Tyler ISD staff gathered at Green Acres Baptist Church on Friday for the district's annual convocation ahead of the new school year. The annual convocation at Green Acres Baptist Church brought together employees from campuses and departments across the district to celebrate accomplishments, recognize the work of staff and set priorities for the year ahead. Crawford highlighted Boulter’s progress, noting that its earlier July 27 start date aligns with new district instructional strategies aimed at boosting student growth. At the high school level, Early College High School led district campuses with an unofficial score of 99, followed by RISE Academy with a 92, Tyler Legacy High School with an 88, and Tyler High School with an 86. Crawford also recognized Tyler High School for earning an A rating in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) and celebrated RISE Academy Principal Dr. Dexter Floyd, who was named Region 7 High School Principal of the Year.
