Residents are being invited to lace up their trainers and join friends for a musical fundraising event with a difference. Run the Beat, in aid of Nightingale House Hospice, will see participants walk, jog or dance their way around a running track while listening to music through wireless headphones. Believed to be Wrexham’s first-ever silent disco event, it will take place at Queensway Stadium on 19 September, combining music, exercise and fundraising. One feature of the event is Memory Miles, where participants are encouraged to dedicate one or more miles to someone special.
