Mary Lou (Washington) Goodwin was born on Aug. 5, 1944 in Lafayette, La., to Adam Washington and Lillian Comeaux Washington. Mary was born into one of the “founding families” of Westlake a year before the city was incorporated. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lionel; her children, Bridgette January (Michael), Chester Goodwin (Serena), and Brandy Goodwin (Stacie); grandchildren, Brandon, Caleb, Austin, Jacob, and Alex, and siblings, Mary Louise LeDoux, Joseph Washington, Sharon Washington, and Catherine Batat. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Park under the direction of Stevens’ Funeral Home. Visitation is Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Stevens’ Funeral Home.
