Thomas Arthur LaRocque, 75, passed away on Aug. 6, 2026. Born and raised in Lake Charles, La., he lived the last 15 years of his life in Austin, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kay Moore LaRocque of Austin, Texas; his children, Brandy Gate of Sulphur, La., Paul LaRocque of Lake Charles, La., and Tamra LaRocque and husband, Asher Knutson of Austin; cherished grandchildren, James Markwick of Louisburg, Kan.; Belle LaRocque of Austin; Ellie Manual and Parker LaRocque, both of Lake Charles; Noah Gowe of Austin; Slade Virgadamo and Sarah Ann Dofflemyer (Gabriel), both of Sulphur and one great-grandson, Samuel Dofflemyer. Mr. LaRocque also leaves his siblings, Paula Lawlis and Susan Jackson, both of Lake Charles, and Jay LaRocque of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. LaRocque and Francis Rosteet LaRocque; his sister, Sarah Ann LaRocque, and his brothers-in-law, Jim Lawlis and Charlie “T-Man” Jackson.
