Brenda Lynn (Bailey) McCall (formerly Fontenot) was born on Oct. 20, 1939, and ascended into the loving arms of our Lord on Aug. 4, 2026. Growing up in a farming family in East Lake Charles, Brenda cherished memories of riding her horse, Blazer, and hauling cattle with her father and brother. She then supported her husband, Bill, in the insurance business, running Bill Fontenot Agency like a well-oiled machine for decades. After losing her first husband, Bill Fontenot, in 1997, Brenda often stated she would never remarry. She is also survived by her step-children, Craig McCall (Damaris) of Humacao, Puerto Rico; Sarah Canup, Chris McCall (Julie) and Erin Alley (Kevin) all of Lake Charles, La., and step-grandchildren, Gabriela McCall, Drew Alley, Cameron Canup, Katie McCall, Blake Alley, Will Canup, Thomas Alley, Emma McCall and Luke Alley.
