Monadnock Peer Support has received a $10,000 Responsive Grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to fund accessibility renovations for its residential bathroom.
“Recovery looks different for every person, and for some, something as simple as being able to shower safely and independently can make a tremendous difference,” said Stacy Wilbur, senior program director at Monadnock Peer Support.
“Physical accessibility is an essential part of mental health recovery,” Callender said.
Monadnock Peer Support has provided free, non-clinical, peer-led mental health services in the Monadnock region for more than 30 years.
Its offerings include support groups, life-skills training, transportation, wellness activities, and residential services.
