Kristy Sparrow, who has spent a decade on the front lines as co-founder of Better Internet for Rural, Regional and Remote Australia, said while communication services in the bush are better now than 10 years ago, the closure of the "lifeline" comes at a bad time for families, farmers, small businesses and communities "trying to navigate a system that wasn't built with them in mind".
