The Monarch Mountain Lodge, located in Garfield, along U.S. 50 in Chaffee County, has been issued a “boil water” advisory by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Between the lodge guests and the nearby residents of the town of Garfield, around 250 people are affected by this boil water advisory. In these situations, CDPHE issues boil water advisories and requires the system to notify everyone who has access to the water.
