On Friday, Governor Jared Polis appointed M. Christina Floyd to Lake County Court in the 5th Judicial District. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable John G. Scott, and is effective immediately. Floyd is the Founder and Managing Attorney at Rocky Mountain General Counsel, LLC, a position she has held since 2019. She recently made an unsuccessful primary run to fill the Colorado House seat (HD 13), currently held by term-limited Julie McCluskie. Previously, Floyd was County Attorney (2021-2025) and Special Counsel (2016-2020) for the Lake County Attorney’s Office.
