The Isle of Wight's much-loved St James Church Jigsaw Puzzle Festival is returning next week – and organisers say it will be the biggest in the event's 31-year history. Around 2,500 jigsaw puzzles will be available to buy during the six-day festival at St James Church in East Cowes, a huge increase from the 80 puzzles displayed when the fundraiser first began in 1995. A new attraction for 2026 is the Find the Jigsaw Pieces Trail, where children can search the church grounds for hidden puzzle pieces before claiming a prize. Festival organisers Mike Harris and Celia Jones said:"When the festival first started in 1995, nobody could have imagined we'd one day be preparing around 2,500 puzzles for a single festival. The St James Church Jigsaw Puzzle Festival runs from Monday 10th August until Saturday 15th August, opening daily from 10am until 4pm, with late openings on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.
