Charities and community groups on the Isle of Wight will have the chance to meet potential funders at a special event in Newport next month. Representatives from funding organisations will be available throughout the day, with presentations, practical workshops and opportunities to network. There will also be a limited number of one-to-one appointments, allowing organisations to talk directly to funders about their individual projects and funding requirements. The event is being organised by the Isle of Wight Council's Family and Community Team, alongside Community Action Isle of Wight. She said the event would give local groups an opportunity to find out about funding opportunities and get practical advice on developing their ideas.
