Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has ordered authorities to conduct a survey of all unsafe and deteriorating buildings across the province immediately after the monsoon season. The directive came during a meeting chaired by the chief minister to review progress on Phase-I of the Punjab Development Programme (PDP). The chief minister said newly installed sewerage systems had significantly improved drainage conditions in several cities. She praised deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, Water and Sanitation Authority (Wasa) officials, and Suthra Punjab teams for their performance during the monsoon. CM Maryam Nawaz also appreciated officers and staff who worked around the clock to facilitate the public during the rainy season.
