Spain will introduce temporary border controls on flights and ships arriving from Italy from midnight on Saturday until September 7, as tensions between the two countries grow over irregular migration. Under the measures, Spanish authorities will carry out passport, nationality, and visa checks on Italian passengers as well as travelers from other countries arriving via Italy.
