Kohima, August 8 (MExN): A meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) in connection with the 16th Finance Commission was held at the Office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, on August 6. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS. The meeting discussed the need for convergence among the line departments for effective implementation of activities under the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), stated a DIPR report. The meeting also deliberated on the GPDP preparation process, portal uploading, timelines and coordination among departments. The DC directed PHED to finalise the GPDP Action Plan in connection with the 16th Finance Commission and stressed the importance of adhering to the prescribed timelines.
