A 19-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man have died following a head-on collision between two cars on the N-332 in Benissa. The accident occurred at approximately 11.46am on Saturday, August 8, near kilometre 177 on the Benissa bypass. All four occupants were trapped inside the wreckage following the collision. Fire crews from Benissa and Dénia carried out a complex rescue operation to free the occupants from the damaged vehicles. Police closed the affected section of the N-332 while emergency crews worked at the scene, with traffic diverted onto alternative routes.
