Shafaqna English- AI cloud company Firebird has launched what it describes as the largest AI factory in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Armenia, marking a major expansion of AI computing infrastructure aimed at supporting research, startups, businesses and public institutions, according to the Nvidia. Firebird plans to deploy more than 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity in Armenia by the end of 2027. The Armenia facility is part of Firebird’s broader plan to develop approximately 2 gigawatts of AI infrastructure across Armenia, Kazakhstan and other markets. Schneider Electric supplied key power infrastructure, while Vertiv provided the facility’s cooling architecture, including chilled-water technology and advanced thermal-management systems. Early demand is coming from AI-native companies including Perplexity, which is working with Firebird to access high-performance computing infrastructure for its AI agent platform and answer engine.
