During an appearance on ESPN's SportsCenter, Gansey told Kevin Negandhi that he felt Brown's arrival paved the way for James to land in Philadelphia. "Without getting Jaylen, I don't think we get LeBron," Gansey said. That coincided with James hitting free agency after an eight-year run with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 41-year-old LeBron decided to play at least one more NBA season, while making it clear that vying for a championship was his top priority.
