Lang8/8/26A warrant executed on the residence of an Iowa City burglary suspect has reportedly turned up drugs and guns. 39-year-old Tade Mellecker is accused of breaking into an unoccupied building on Bloomington Street in early May and stealing approximately $5,000 worth of property. A May 27th search warrant executed on Mellecker’s 520th Street residence near Sand Hill Cemetery east of Hills reportedly turned up some of the stolen items. There were allegedly syringes and used spoons with residue littered throughout the residence. If convicted on all counts, Mellecker faces a maximum of over 13 years in jail.
