Muhlenberg County scored two touchdowns and kept Trigg County off the scoreboard in the first preseason tune-up of the 2026 football season on Friday at Perdue Field. The teams played a pair of 10-play drives and a pair of down-and-distance drives in varsity play. Trigg County ran the football 12 times for 53 yards and completed three of five passes for 19 yards. The Wildcats will scrimmage at the Fort Campbell Preseason Jamboree on Friday and play a half against two Clarksville schools. Trigg County will open the 2026 season on August 21 against Caverna in the Wildcat Chevrolet Bowl at Perdue Field.
