Okoye served as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan. His body will depart for Anambra State ahead of a wake-keep at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field, Agulu, on October 8 from 4p.m. The funeral service will hold at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field, Agulu, on October 9 from 9a.m. The burial will conclude with an outing service at Agulu Town Hall on October 11 at 9a.m. Okoye is survived by six children and nine grandchildren, including Mr. Victor Okoye, a journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
