The King and Castle in Kidderminster impressed judges in the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) West Central Region's 2026 awards, which celebrate excellence in real ale, cider, hospitality, and community pubs across Oxfordshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire. Brett Laniosh, regional director for CAMRA's West Central Region, said: "These awards recognise some of the very best pubs and clubs in the West Central Region. The pub serves freshly prepared pub classics and seasonal specials. Elsewhere in the region, Dursley’s The Hoptician took home the title of Cider Pub of the Year. The micropub, which opened in May 2024, stands out for its real cider selection and warm hospitality.
