Craig Goch Dam, Rhayader, Powys, took the top spot as the UK's best place for stargazing, with an overall score of 7/10.
This takes into account a number of factors including cloud cover, Bortle score (a nine-level numeric scale that measures the night sky's brightness), daylight hours, and the number of visible stars.
Meanwhile, Hay Bluff in Powys came in at number eight, with a Bortle score of 4.1 and with visitors able to see between 1,000 and 2,000 stars.
Scotland, in fact, proved the best country in the UK for stargazing with the Inner Hebrides' Arinagour and Tomintoul in Banffshire coming in second and third place, respectively.
The study was carried out under Lotus Car Rentals, which compared a range of the UK's best stargazing locations as they declared the best place to see the "Eclipse of the Century" in 2026.
