Have your say and help shape legislation to protect beauty of Loch Doon
['Stuart Reid']
Cumnock Chronicle | News
Last month, East Ayrshire Council took steps to bring in new legislation to tackle anti-social behaviour at Loch Doon.
Camping management byelaws were brought forward and agreed to preserve public order and safety, prevent damage, and reduce nuisance and danger at Loch Doon.
And to help shape the look of these byelaws, the council is looking for feedback from anyone who works, visits or lives near the beauty spot.
Key changes include the introduction of a defined “management zone” around Loch Doon, within which new rules on camping, fires and vehicle use would apply.
Three dedicated areas for camping have been outlined as part of the proposed changes.
