MOULTRIE – Jerni Moore pitched a scoreless bottom of the fourth inning to save the Colquitt County middle school softball team’s 8-7 victory on Thursday at Cairo. The win was the second in a row to start the season for the middle school Lady Packers. The middle school Lady Packers led 6-0 after the first two innings against Worth, but the Lady Rams rallied to tie the game 8-8 heading into the bottom of sixth inning. The middle school Lady Packers play next on Tuesday when they travel to Sylvester to meet Worth County. Tess Davis is the middle school team’s head coach.
