The Institute for Therapy through the Arts will use funds from an anonymous $600,000 grant to help clients maintain Medicaid benefits amid new cuts and stringent re-certification requirements set to go into effect next year. Evanston-based ITA provides art, dance, music, movement and drama therapy to people of all ages. The organization was founded in 1975 with a mission “to empower individuals to create and grow and heal through creative arts therapy,” according to Jeffrey Wolfe, ITA’s chief executive officer.
