Families, community members and first responders gathered again Tuesday night to celebrate and build better rapport at Luna County Courthouse Park. Hosted in partnership with law enforcement and first responders, the event featured activities, games and demonstrations by many community agencies. National Night Out is observed annually in communities across the United States to promote crime prevention, neighborhood partnerships and positive interaction between residents and public safety agencies. Representatives from the Luna County Sheriff’s Office, Deming Police Department and Deming Fire Department were on hand, as well as representatives of federal agencies and other public safety sectors.
