A team of the All India Congress Sevadal on Monday joined flood recovery efforts in Nazira, where residents continue to struggle with the aftermath of the devastating Dikhow River floods. Numerous families are still unable to return to their homes as mud and debris continue to hamper cleanup and restoration. The volunteers helped remove mud and debris from residential areas and cleared flood-damaged vehicles stranded in the locality. Speaking on the occasion, Debabrata Saikia said recovery from such a major disaster requires collective effort and community participation. He stressed that cooperation among citizens, volunteers and organisations would help affected families rebuild their lives more quickly.
