Recently released police data from June 2026 shows that a total of 916 crimes were reported in West Berkshire that month. The most commonly reported type of crime was 'violence and sexual offences', reported 336 times and accounting for 36.7 per cent of all crimes. The third most common crime type was shoplifting, reported 110 times and accounting for 12 per cent. The fourth most reported crime type in West Berkshire in June was 'public order' offences, which made up 8.3 per cent of the total with 76 reports. The sixth most common crime type in West Berkshire in June was 'other theft', reported 54 times and accounting for 5.9 per cent of the total.
