Children's hospice in south Essex receives £67k boost for vital building upgrade

Havens hospices has secured the grant from the Wolfson Foundation to fund the final phase of window and door replacement works at Little Havens in Thundersley.
The project will see all 251 ageing windows and doors at the hospice replaced with modern double-glazed units and aluminium frames.
Little Havens has been supporting babies, children and young people with incurable and complex conditions for almost three decades.

Paul Ramsbottom, chief executive of the Wolfson Foundation, said: “Hospices have to fight hard for every penny to keep their vital services afloat.
