Denholme quarry development under review after works start
['Harry Williams']
Bradford Telegraph and Argus | News
The development at Buck Park Quarry on Whalley Lane began before the application was determined, leading to a change in its status.
The work involves constructing a new road junction at the intersection of Whalley Lane and the A629, a new access road, widening Whalley Lane, extracting sandstone, and restoring the quarry.
The project's scope has been altered to reflect the site's changed circumstances, and the application now includes an Environmental Statement.
Bradford Council is inviting public comments on the project for 30 days (excluding public holidays) from the notice's publication on August 5.
The development falls under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, among others.
