AdvertisementFOUR stray or abandoned horses were seized in one day from the side of a busy stretch of motorway outside Limerick City.
According to a statement from Limerick City and County Council, four abandoned horses were seized from the Southern Ring Motorway in Limerick on July 21, 2026.
The four abandoned animals included a seven-year-old light brown and white female horse, an eight-year-old dark bay female, a six-year-old brown and white female, and brown and white female foal.
According to the Council, the owners or keepers of the abandoned animals are not known.
