Man spared jail after breaching restraining orders
['Isabelle Pinnock']
Midweek Herald | News
In May, Coutts was handed a community order at Avon and Somerset Magistrates’ Court for using violence to enter a premises.
The court heard Coutts had turned up at the victims’ address and tried to kick the door down, before smashing a window with a shovel.
Four separate restraining orders were made to prevent Coutts from contacting the protected parties.
Officers traced the call to a camping site in Upottery, East Devon, and found the protected parties in a caravan.
Coutts’ community order was revoked and a 24-week sentence was imposed, suspended for 18 months.
