Adam Morgan will start this afternoon’s British Touring Car Championship Qualifying Race from pole position after setting the benchmark time during qualifying at Knockhill. Home hero Gordon Shedden led the way in Group 2 but ultimately fell just three hundredths of a second short of Morgan’s time. That means that the Toyota Corolla racer will line up alongside Morgan on the front row of the grid in second place. As per the series’ format for this season, the group with the pole-setting lap time will occupy the odd-numbered grid positions for the Qualifying Race, while the other group occupy the even-numbered grid positions.
