Share onNot that the federal Conservatives are looking for a new leader, but a new Nanos Research poll finds there is no obvious challenger to Mark Carney among Conservative politicians in Canada. Interestingly though, a former Conservative prime minister ranks higher than the current Conservative leader. According to the results, 16 percent said former prime minister Stephen Harper, while current Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre received 15 percent of the vote. Ontario Premier Doug Ford sits at 11 percent while 33 percent of Canadians surveyed said “none can defeat” Mark Carney. Nanos Research founder and chief data scientist Nik Nanos says there is both “good news and bad news” in the polling for Poilievre.
