Gyan Bharatam and the Revival of Manuscript HeritageWhere JATAN handles museum objects, the Gyan Bharatam Mission tackles a parallel and arguably even more urgent challenge: India’s vast, fragile and dispersed manuscript heritage. Through the National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (NMMA), the ASI has undertaken digital documentation of antiquities and built heritage sites nationwide.
