The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who attacked a food delivery driver with a baseball bat. While making a food delivery order around 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 1, Christen Phillips stopped at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Gum Branch Road in Jacksonville, North Carolina. After Phillips arrived at her food delivery location in the Shamrock Drive area the suspect approached her and struck her in the head with a baseball bat before leaving the area, deputies said. The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office previously identified a person believed to be involved in the assault, but was later ruled out as a suspect after further investigation. Deputies continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.
