Organisers of the Walls show have confirmed today’s (Saturday) event will go ahead despite the poor weather. The show runs from noon to 5pm and will be followed up with a dance in the Walls hall from 8pm. Last year’s event was cancelled due to the weather, although the evening dance went ahead. Although today’s forecast is for rain and a fresh breeze, organisers confirmed this morning that the show would go ahead. The Walls and District Agricultural Show is the first to be held in Shetland this year, after the Voe Show was cancelled due to bereavement.
