A piece of sad news, we have lost a member this week, John Sørensen, whose partner Wenche passed away earlier this year also. We had two matches, the singles won by Darren Hancock beating Darren Strugnell 5&4 and the doubles won by Phil de Lacy and Robin Eastman beating Charlie Jackson and John Simmons 2&1. The golf was pretty good, no super high scores and two Eagles from Phil de Lacy and Peter Baldwin. TheTwos pot was shared between Charlie Jackson, Will Hammond and Matt Lowe. The “McBride Bottle” has been added to the Captain’s wine rack (Mick Pryke) and Richard Howard went home very happy winning the football card with West Brom.
