The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors is set to hold their public hearing on their proposed data center ordinance on Monday. The supervisors will consider the ordinance detailing regulations and will also consider a moratorium on data center developments in the county. Currently, Jefferson County does not have an ordinance in place that prohibits the construction of any small- or large-scale data center. Nearby Louisa County cleared the way for their 18-month data center moratorium in July. The Monday public hearing is slated for 6 p.m. in the Jefferson County Courthouse.
