The Huskies team leader on the diamond this summer was voted Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division Baseball Player of the Year in 2026. Hazelett joined the KCII PM Sports Page to talk about what the award and playing for the Huskies means to him. “For me, this was a huge honor and a great way to go out, Conference Player of the Year. On the mound, Hazelett was the Huskies’ ace with a 6-1 record, .197opponent average against, 52 strikeouts and 2.38ERA in 35 innings pitched, all top five in conference.
