More than 200 object to 'industrialisation of countryside' in bid to create 800 homes

Residents living in the Saxmundham area have expressed concerns about developer Pigeon's plans for homes on the border between the town and Benhall, fearing the impact of traffic and loss of agricultural land.
The application forms the South Saxmundham Garden Neighbourhood.

A spokesman for C3 Planning said: "This is an aggressive and highly speculative planning application.
Previously, a Pigeon spokesman said: "Pigeon is proud to be working with local stakeholders to deliver on the ambitions for the South Saxmundham Garden Neighbourhood.
