Over 7,500 residents affected by June 29 floods in Ningo-PrampramA total of 7,566 residents in 10 communities in the Ningo-Prampram District were affected by the June 29, 2026, floods, Mr Raphael Uriel Nartey, the District Chief Executive (DCE), has disclosed. Mr Nartey said Old Ningo recorded the highest number of affected persons with 1,613 residents, followed by Lekpongunor with 1,196 and Ahwiam with 1,183. He said his outfit had intensified environmental sanitation activities through clean-up exercises and public education to improve environmental hygiene and reduce the risk of disease outbreaks. Mr Nartey said following the June floods, the Assembly organised a district-wide clean-up exercise in line with the president’s directive on the national sanitation campaign. The exercise sought to reduce flood risks, improve environmental sanitation and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders.
