Raymond Daniel, 82 of Carroll, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll. Raymond Nichols, son of Vincent and Caroline (Weber) Daniel, was born August 16, 1943, in Carroll, Iowa. On November 14, 1964, Ray was united in marriage with Jane Lietz at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia. Ray is survived by his beloved wife Jane Daniel of Carroll; a daughter Lori Dentlinger of Audubon; a son Jeff Daniel of Carroll; grandsons Zachary Dentlinger and Michael Dentlinger; granddaughters Megan Dentlinger and Lydia Daniel; a great-grandson Braxton Brinker; a great-granddaughter Zoey Brinker; his brothers: John (Judi) Daniel of Carroll; Albert (Mary) Daniel of Carroll; and Don (Linda) Daniel of Greenville, South Carolina; Brothers-in-law John Olberding of Carroll and Dick (Jeanne) Lietz of Ashgrove, Missouri; and by nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers John Marvin Daniel in infancy and David Daniel; sisters Helen (John) Henkelman and JoAnn Olberding; parents-in-law Ed and Florence Lietz; and a brother-in-law Jerry Lietz.
