Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Damir Osmonov visited the First Children’s Hospice, where he met with children, their parents, and medical staff. As part of state support, eight children received ventilators for home use, and nine more received a year’s supply of vital medical supplies. During the meeting, the further development of palliative care for children, provision of medical equipment and supplies to patients, and additional support measures for families raising children with serious illnesses were discussed. «Children in need of palliative care are no longer invisible,» she noted, emphasizing that their needs are now recognized at the state level. The first children’s hospice has been operating since 2016 and is the only specialized palliative care facility for children in Kyrgyzstan.
