Angel Lucas Lindsey, 21, was identified as the man who gunned down officer Austin Abdelnabi on Tuesday, Metro Police Undersheriff Andrew Walsh said in a briefing. Lucas Lindsey immediately charged at Abdelnabi, striking him multiple times, Walsh said. Molinet pulled up behind Abdelnabi and, having seen Abdelnabi shot, got out of his vehicle and exchanged fire with Lucas Lindsey, hitting him. Lucas Lindsey was shot once in the chest by Molinet and once in the head from his own gun, Walsh said. The gun he killed Abdelnabi belonged to Lucas Lindsey, which he purchased.
