Brewers' recently DFA'd starting pitcher clears waivers, heads back to Triple-A Nashville

Reviewing the Brew Feed
One of the overlooked obstacles that buying teams face at Major League Baseball's midseason trade deadline is the need to open roster spots, both on the active 26-man and 40-man rosters, for their acquisitions.
One of those players ended up being Heuer, who was flipped to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations.
The other was two-time Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Year Carlos Rodriguez, who was DFA'd shortly after the deadline.
However, just three days later, Rodriguez has officially cleared waivers and was subsequently outrighted to Triple-A, meaning he will remain in the Brewers' organization.
Rodriguez will rejoin the Sounds as he continues to work through his struggles and tries to regain his prior form.
