Kathmandu, August 8: The date for Nepali Congress former president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s return to Kathmandu has been changed. Deuba was earlier scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on the night of Shrawan 26 (August 11). He will now arrive in Nepal at 12:30 pm on Shrawan 28 (August 13). According to Congress leader Prakash Sharan Mahat, Deuba will land in Kathmandu on a Thai Airways flight. Deuba’s return to Nepal is also considered politically significant at a time when tensions between the establishment and anti-establishment factions within the Nepali Congress are escalating.
