The group welcomed the council’s early engagement with parish councils and local communities, describing it as a positive change following the unsuccessful 2019 Local Plan process. However, it said growth in Cam must be accompanied by investment in infrastructure and services. It said future development should focus on well-connected locations and deliver affordable homes, accessible green space and improvements to transport links. Responses to the consultation can be submitted until 11pm on Sunday, August 9, through the council’s Local Plan consultation page.
